Game: Star Wars Battlefront 3

- Creativity: I thought for sure it would be hard to find neutrality on this one – how many times have we been let down with a not-so-Star Wars video game flop? But I’ve gotta say that there is some real potential here. Not only did the change of locations – Hoth, Endor, Tattooine, etc. – make for some beautiful cinematography, but the thunderous thomp’s of the AT-AT’s were so ominous they gave me goosebumps.
- Execution: The plot wasn’t as obvious as some of our other trailers, but the graphics-music combo was enough to carry us through. Not to mention I am digging on the female Stormtroopers (whoever made the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule clearly never knew the steely goodness of a kick-ass Stormtrooper costume).
- Impact: As a self-proclaimed Star Wars junkie, this trailer left me even more excited for the upcoming flick and intrigued by EA DICE’s new multi-player game play.
Overall, Star Wars Battlefront 3 promises to be a sandbox game with all the awesomeness of Battlefield and all the badassery of Star Wars. I’m just ticked that I have to wait two whole weeks to buy it.
